Engineers' Club of Memphis

The Engineers' Club of Memphis is a 120+ member, nonprofit, professional society which exists to promote the practice of engineering in the Mid-South through:

  • Weekly Professional Development Meetings

  • MJEC Engineer’s Week (February 21 – 27, 2027)

  • Engineering Scholarships ($19,305 since 2022)

  • Grants to Local Student Organizations ($28,250 since 2022)

 

The Club offers Professional Development Meetings by Zoom most Mondays at Noon. Guests are always welcome.

Blake Daigle, PE is the Club’s Program Director for September. A graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Licensed Professional Engineer in Tennessee, he currently serves as the Manager of Engineering at the Chickasaw Electric Cooperative. He previously worked as the Supervisor of Planning and Systems Engineering for Memphis Light, Gas and Water, retiring in 2023 after 28+ years. He is also on the Industrial Development Board for the Town of Oakland and enjoys the outdoors as well as coaching travel baseball.

- September 14: Join us at Noon on Monday, September 14, to hear Jacob Baker, Jose Hernandez PE, and Dayton Gaughan of Permacast Walls present: “Design and Application of Protective Wall Systems.” PDH

- September 21: Tom Witten, Technical Lead, and Sami Azzouz, Client Director at Biarri Networks will present: “Optimizing Power Distribution Network Design.” PDH

- September 28: Talbott Howard, President, Electro-Aeration Inc./MagWater, will present: “Engineering the Future of Water: Electrochemical Treatment, Water Enhancement & Real-World Applications.” PDH
